Take a fabulous journey through one of the most famous areas of the Gunnison country. Start in Gunnison and on to the Almont Resort for breakfast and a history of Almont and the Taylor Park region. From there it is on to the Crested Butte ski area and a chairlift ride to the top of the Crested Butte ski area and a talk on Crested Butte, Gothic, Crystal and Marble. Then the class visits the Crested Butte Heritage Museum and continues on to the great silver town of Irwin and its famed cemetery. From there, the class goes over Ohio Pass, down Ohio Creek and back into Gunnison.
