Social justice in education is key to my philosophy of research and teaching: creating social change, creating equity education for students, advocating for transformative education, implementing culturally responsive educational experiences for youth are all necessary components of equitable and meaningful education. Learning experiences based on these educational components breaks down barriers for CLDE and CLD students in education. These ideas have led to my primary investigative interests of the impact critical pedagogy has on the education of CLD and CLDE students in rural communities.
