Zak Podmore is an award-winning author and journalist who has spent more than a decade writing about water and conservation issues in the western United States. He will be coming to Western Colorado University's Water Studies emphasis program to talk about his new book, Life After Dead Pool: Lake Powell's Last Days and the Rebirth of the Colorado River. Podmore's new work brings to life the magnificent terrain of canyon country and its complex water politics, presenting an ultimately hopeful portrait of a Colorado River on the brink of rebirth. If you're interested in hydrology, ecology, anthropology, water policy, and exploring canyon country, RSVP here.
