About this Event
On Friday, December 2, from 5:00-6:00 pm in Western’s Savage Library, students from both ART222 (Art History I) and HIST101 (World History to 1500) will host an exhibit of their combined research. Each student had the option of doing a research paper on an original topic of their choosing or doing a 3D project which explores a theme or research question. Some examples this year will include recreating the process of producing Ancient Egyptian blue faience, a model of a Roman warship, and experimenting with natural pigments that would have been used in prehistoric cave paintings in Europe. The Student Exhibition provides a forum for students to show off their own research projects, explore their classmates' projects, and share the exciting work of Art History and History students with a broader university community.
