DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, temperatures will be unseasonably mild on Thurs
 day and Friday with temperatures in the 50’s.  Understandably\, this is 
 not conducive to ensuring that we have a safe Rail Jam event.  Please know
  we are considering an alternative program late afternoon/early evening on
  Friday\, February 27th to gather our community and celebrate what makes W
 estern so incredibly special\, OUR PEOPLE!  Stay tuned for more informatio
 n. \n\n \n\n17 years past\, a visionary group of Mountaineers created the 
 Western Campus Rail Jam. This event changed the path for diverse Western s
 tudents alike: some who had skied or snowboarded their whole lives\, but e
 specially for those who had only heard the murmurs. The event generates so
  much buzz for skiing that it can lead a few individuals to “send-it” 
 and become a crew on the slopes. The event highlights the ever-growing cul
 ture of Western Colorado University’s (WCU) link to outdoor recreation. 
 This event has allowed Western students to compete against one another in 
 sliding rails\, throwing rad tricks\, and showing off their personal steez
 e. \n\nIf you are under 18\, you must have a parent or guardian present to
  sign for you.
